Bible Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church dedicated to the teaching and preaching of God's Word. We believe that it is important in our day and time to rightly divide the Word of Truth. In a religious society that seeks progressive ways and methods to please the seeker, Bible Baptist Church seeks to please the Savior. The following are the core values and doctrines that we believe and follow...
The Inspiration of the Scriptures:
This comes from a greek compound word, theopneustos, meaning literally "God-breathed." With respect to Bibliology, this word describes the process which these "God-breathed" words are recorded for mankind. We believe the inspiration to be verbal, plenary, as well as inerrant and infallible. (II Tim. 3:16) We believe God has preserved His Word for the English speaking people in the King James Version of the Bible and it is the version God has been pleased to bless. The Bible is our final authority in faith and practice.
The Local Church:
The word church comes from the Greek word Ekklesia. Ek means "out". Kaleo means "to call or summon." Church literally means a called out assembly. Jesus started the church on the earth with the apostles which is recorded in the books of Mattew and John. The Lord does His greatest work because of and through the Local Church.
The Fundamentals of the Faith:
We believe in Verbal Inspiration, The Virgin Birth of Christ, His Vicarious Death, His Victorious Ressurection and His Visible Return.
Bible Baptist Church is a Baptist church and we make no apologies for the heritage God has given us. Here are our distinctives.
Bible is the Final Authority.
Autonomy of the Local Church.
Priesthood of the Believer.
Two Ordinances: Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Individual Soul Liberty.
Saved Church Membership.
Two Offices: Pastor and Deacons.
Separation of Church and State.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. There are no other roads to Heaven- only by the perfect, sinless, blood of Christ can you receive eternal life. No good deed or work will grant you eternal life, only the repentance of sins and acceptance of Christ. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
We believe in the security of the believer, more commonly known as "once saved always saved." Once you receive Christ as your savior you received Him forever. In other words, you cannot lose your salvation. You are 100% guaranteed a place in Heaven. Eternal life means life forever with Christ. (I John 5:13, I John 2:3, Phil. 1:6)
